Friday X= Friday

Today is Friday, should be a relax and the day dreamed by most people, after today, we can rest for 1 or 2 days after a heavy week.

This week is my peadriatric cycle, the classes were conducted by Professor, and of course the lessons were full of Questionssss.... this week i also took my therapy exam, and summer practise exams.

Sometimes i feel why instructors like to make trouble with students, they just purpose to make you down for their own happiness? to 'upgrade' their popularity? Why they want to make you down even before they start to ask you question? Or it is just their own style? I'm not really understand.

Oh well, i have to start preparing topics for tomorrow lesson, i don't want to die in class..

Fire Drill

Tonight, we had our suprise fire drill. It was just after i finish bath. Can't imaging if it was happened when i was bathing. hehe. Some people treat it likes a real one, bring along their laptops, money, and etc; some just treat it like normal, walk down slowly; some thought it was a joke, "You don't lie la"; some even worse, treat it like nothing, 'very fei'. How about you? How you should treat it like?

Fire drill just a normal training, should treat it as real as possible, so that when it really happen (hope never happen), we can save our lives in time.

2nd week of Semester

This week, we having Infectious Disease. It is 1 and half week cycle. Study all about Pathogens. The class is conducted by Associated Professor.. HOHO... We have our class underground. A very old building. We have our patients for case history.

This week, the weather here start turning cold, it is around 10 degree celcius, need to wear jacket out.

On Thursday, I helped my friend to collect her luggage. When i reached there, and pass the luggage tag to the officer, the officer told me that the bag had not reach yet. Have to wait. I told her, that I received calls from Moscow that the luggage bag is already at Kursk Airport. The officer allow me to search the luggage in the luggage room. Lots of luggage are there. Thanks God, I found the Luggage. After i took out the luggage, i found that the lugagge tag number had already changed. So that is the problem why the luggage 'haven't' reach Kursk. After some procedurs of Identification, I took the luggage and waited at the bus stop. It was a rainning day. And I don't know why, there is no even 1 bus came to the bus stop, normally it will be every 15 minutes. My clothes were all wet. Suddenly there is a cab came in, normally no cab will come in here, i just wave wave my hand to call the cab, and he agreed to send me back to hostel.
Yesterday it was Summer Practise Exam, all students were asked to go to hospital for the exam. When i reached there, the hospital is fulled of students. Why University just put a time and ask all students to there? Can't they divide it by groups? Anyways, lots of students going back hostel due to incomplete documents, we were not informed that we need to photocopy the practical booklets. Wasted my whole afternoon waiting there... I hope next time will be better managements.

Kursk Airport

Today i went to Kursk Airport to collect my Luggage. Yeah!! My luggage finally arrived. Actually my luggage arrived some days ago, just that the officers didn't inform me.

I took a bus 'aeroport' to Kursk airport. It tooks around 25 minutes to reach there. Only 1 passenger on the bus, that is me, this is because at that time, there is no flights from Kursk Airport.

I reached there around 12.30pm, and straight away went to luggage collection point, security guards asked to me wait there for some minutes to wait the officer in charge to come. I waited around 20 minutes. Finally got a old man came out, he speaks a bit english, he brought me to collect my luggage. After some procedures, i went back hostel.

Kursk Airport is a very small airport, serving flights to several destination, even international route. Direct flight from Kursk to Moscow takes only 1 and 40 minutes, cost 2600roubles, around RM370, using Russian Made old aircraft.

Plug and Forget with the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks

World’s Smallest USB Receiver for Mice Simplifies Life for On-The-Road Notebook Users
The next big thing in notebook mice is really small. Logitech, the manufacturer of computer mice, introduced the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks. The mouse’s plug-and-forget nano-receiver provides highly mobile notebook PC and MacBook users with a mouse that simplifies life on the road. Because the USB receiver is so small and is nearly flush with the notebook, people no longer need to constantly plug and unplug it when moving from place to place.

“More and more laptop users are abandoning the touch pad in favor of a cordless notebook mouse,” said Rory Dooley, Logitech senior vice president and general manager of control devices. “However, with most notebook mice, the size of the receiver forces people to plug and unplug the receiver each time they use the laptop. Because we were able to make the nano-receiver so small, it can remain plugged into the laptop at all times so on-the-go notebook users save valuable time and never have to worry about where the receiver is.”
Plug-and-Forget Nano-Receiver
The VX Nano mouse’s plug-and-forget nano-receiver is the world’s smallest USB receiver for mice (when compared with other 27 MHz USB receivers for notebook mice commercially available as of March 1, 2007). When plugged into a laptop, the nano-receiver is nearly flush against the notebook – protruding just 8 mm from the edge of the computer. As a result, notebook users no longer have to worry about the receiver getting lost or snagged. Instead, people can plug in the nano-receiver once and then forget about it – the VX Nano mouse is always ready for use.
Advanced Scrolling and Performance
To maximize productivity, the VX Nano mouse features the MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel, which Logitech introduced last fall in the Logitech MX Revolution cordless laser mouse and VX Revolution cordless laser mouse for notebooks. When the wheel is in hyper-fast scrolling mode, people can fly through long documents with the flick of a finger. To shift to the precise, click-to-click scrolling mode, people need only press and click the scroll wheel. The mouse’s Forward and Back buttons enable effortless navigation of Web pages and documents, while a One-Touch search button allows people to instantly display results from a favorite search engine. A laser engine ensures smooth cursor control and precision tracking on virtually any surface, and Logitech’s 2.4 GHz digital cordless technology provides a robust wireless connection.
Low Profile, Ultra-Portable Design
A premium mouse for the on-the-go road warrior, the VX Nano mouse’s low-profile, ultra-portable design ensures that it slips easily into a notebook bag, pocket or purse, while the contoured shape and soft rubber grip provide exceptional comfort. The base of the VX Nano mouse has a trap door that, when opened, reveals two AAA batteries and a storage compartment for the nano-receiver.

Yupie.. Saturday.

So fast, 1st week of this semester had gone. Time is flying fast. Left 18 weeks then my semester will end again. :P I found out, my brain still not so ready for study yet, still in holiday mode. hoho. I hope my brain will switch to study mode soon.

Today my passport finally passed up to visa department for processing, and i not get fined, so happy.

Wait Wait and Wait

Yesterday i waited at University Visa Department to hand up my Immigration Card, we must pass up with 3 days after arrival to Russia, if not, penatly fine 5000roubles will be given. Yesterday is my 3rd day which means the LAST day to hand up.

When i arrived there, it was around 3pm, Visa Department worked from 2pm till 6pm. It was a long long queue outside the Visa Department. I spent 3 hours waiting there, finally got the chance to enter the office to hand up. Unfortunately, i was forced to go back because they do not have enough time to process. I told them, that yesterday(8.9.07) is my 3rd day, I MUST hand up today, I do not to get fine. They told me that I'll not be fined, come on monday, because they do not have enough time. (Actually there was only 1 officer working there, writing speed like kindergarten child, I used the term "they" because present few officers who not related to the visa department chasing people out from the room.)

So I have no point, have to go back hostel wasted 3 hours standing there. I hope I will not get fined.

reach Kursk.

My flight landed at Domodedovo at 3.45pm, 4 September 2007 as scheduled. I proceed to immigration counter, when i reached there, i almost fainted, huge amount of people waiting to clear immigration, and yet not all immigration counters were waiting. In the end, i waited almost 2 hours for my immigration clearance.

After the immigration clearance, i went to get my luggage, Andrew told me, "all bags are collected, except u, bla bla bla...." I was SHOCKED!!!, i don't know what should i do, i went to lost and found corner, and asked for help. 4 of our luggages(total is 9) are reported missing. It is really a "GOOD" service. The officer told me that, if they found it, they will return it to me via Kursk Airport. Thanks God, there is airport at Kursk, if not i have to go all the way to Moscow to collect.

After the custom clearance, we went to the arrival hall to wait our transport to come. At there, met some of my uni-mates, their bus missing. One of them decided to follow us to kursk. We used total 8 hours to reach Kursk. Andrew told me that the van maximum speed is 90km/h. Reach Kursk around 3am, 5 September. When reach hostel, just tidy my bed and went to sleep, as i have NO luggage to unpack. :(

At here, i want to thanks my mum, is she who put all my shirts to my hand carry luggage from my cargo luggage, if not, i have not enough shirts to wear.
