This week we are going to have Medical Psychology, Medical Psychology closely related to Psychiatry, our last week cycle.
Today is our 1st class, teacher read us lecture and explain us the simple method to examine attention. 1st method is called Shulte-table, 2nd Shulte-Gorbov Table and 3rd one is called Proof-reader test.
Shulte-table also called figure-searching test, where the test consists of 4 tables, each table is divided into 25 small boxes and filled with figures(1-25) randomly. The table is like the one we used to play "BINGO" Patient is asked to point out the figure 1 till 25. What we do from there? Having fun with patient? Actually we analyse the time interval needed to find out 5 figures, number of mistake and how serious is the mistakes.
For Shulte-Gorbov table, almost same like shulte table just that it comes with 2 colours, Black and Red, for black 1-25 and red 1-24. The table having 49 small boxes. Patient is asked to do the same thing like in shulte table.
The combination of these 2 test, give a final result. The formula is Q= Test1 x 2/Test2 x 100%. If Q higher than 70, means your ability to switch over is very good, if lower than 50 means is bad. You want to know my result? My Q is lower than 50, ahaha. I should take the test again tomorrow. Hehe.. I'm QQ, so my Q is 2500. =P
Okie, going to sleep now. Need to take 8am bus to the hospital far away from town.

merdurian:yea. is like bingo, some of my friends take it for bingo games too. ehehe. Not easy to become pyschologist. Every patient is different.
Wow... is there any test like this.. And is it we call it as IQ test?
